I didn't think to capture the ups and downs of the pond's level until now (2007). I'll try to document the various
changes, at least for a while. |

 February - 2008
There has been no water in the pond since October. There was only a dusting of snow, maybe 2 inches at the most.
Then, from one weekend to the next, we have a full (or pretty full) pond again.
The only thing I can think of to explain it is that as the ground warmed up, we got some underground
flow that wound up here.
That was the 16th. The following week, on the 23rd, the pond had thawed.
Naturally, the height of water level dropped due to that peculiar property of water,
but still a healthy pond. |
